A&T Senior Accountant

Job Purpose:

As A&T Associate Accountant, you will be in charge, within TMF’s accounting department, of the support to our international clients in their establishment and development in Belgium.
Under the supervision of a Senior Accountants/ Supervisor, you will be required to perform all types of work on your client portfolio, in all areas of the accounting expertise.

Key Responsibility:

• Responsible for the timely and correct handling of all matters concerning the day to day bookkeeping of the client portfolio
• Monitoring of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank, lettering, payroll and payments
• Preparation and assistance of monthly, quarterly, and year end reporting’s of the clients under the requested format
• Preparation of VAT, corporate income tax returns, withholding tax returns, and other filings
• Monthly and annual closing transactions; preparation of annual financial statements
• Preparation of closing files and all supporting documentation
• Supervision of the more junior accountants

Job specific requirements

• Professional knowledge of English (B1 level minimum);
• Bachelor in Accounting - Master in Tax or equivalent
• Member or trainee of the ITAA (Belgian Institute for Tax Advisors and Accountants) is a plus
• At least 2 years’ experience in accounting firms or multinational environment;
• Autonomy, anticipation, responsiveness, hands on mentality and team spirit is key
• Good communication skills towards managers and subordinates (Junior Accountant);
• Knowledge of at least one accounting software: Kluwer, Winbooks, Silverfin, Exact Online, …
• Good level of Microsoft office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams) is an asset
