About the Role
Compliance Officer is an experienced AML/CFT compliance professional that will manage the overall AML/CFT Compliance framework of TMF Philippines. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that TMF Philippines fully adheres to the requirements defined by the AML Act and related rules and regulations; as well as to those set by TMF Group policies and procedures. You will lead the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Programme (MTPP) of TMF Philippines and will provide trainings and support to all employees of TMF Philippines into their understanding of ML/FT risks and risk-mitigating measures, and will be responsible to design and perform quality assurance procedures.
The Compliance Officer will need to show evidence of a variety of technical, social and business skills.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and improve the overall AML/CFT Compliance Framework of TMF Philippines and the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Programme (MTPP)
Ensure that TMF Philippines adheres to the requirements of Philippines AML Act and to all applicable TMF Group compliance policies;
Ensure client CDD/KYC measures are adequate;
Ensure client CDD/ KYC files are up to date and report to local management and Board of Directors on the completion status
Promote awareness and ensure the local office’s compliance with all legal, regulatory & contractual requirements;
Support local Data Protection tasks to ensure company’s compliance with the DPAand other applicable laws and regulations relating to privacy and data protection
Key Requirements
Hold a degree in business-related disciplines; Professional qualification in Law/ Data Privacy an advantage
Proven track record of AML/CFT compliance experience and implementation of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Programme (MTPP)
Good knowledge of AML/CFT domestic and cross-boarder legislation and standards
Excellent command of both spoken and written English
Strong relationship building with internal and external stakeholders; ability to connect with and communicate appropriately across all levels
Ability to work as an individual contributor and also work as a team player, when required
Good knowledge of business trends/ changes in legislation and regulation that impact Compliance practices
Good understanding of the business, organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work with minimum supervision, with a sense of responsibility and can work under pressure
