About the Role
The Senior Accountant will manage a portifolio of clients and must operate autonomously within full compliance of all legal, accounting and general tax requirement.The clients portifolio includes Global and local clients. This responsibilities includes regular accounting, Financial statements and Corporate Income Tax calculation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Oversea accounting service delivery and client onboarding.
Upholds client service quality
Build the Accounting & Tax service line and offer service to current and new clients.
Handle clients/advice in accounting questions, in general and also with regards to acquisition/decommissions/merges etc.
Preparing monthly and quarterly accounting & tax calculations reports for clients and providing information within agreed deadlines
Oversee and ensure statutory accounting compliance and accounting reporting as necessary
Liaising with advisors, intermediaries and client offices in the setting up, structuring and ongoing maintenance of client entities and accounting models
Drives the implementation and execution of performance management reviews
Owns the capacity planning part of the workforce planning
Will understand the financial implication of decision
Will generate ideas for improvement based on past experience
Identifies and promotes opportunities to share knowledge
Strives for high standards of delivery to clients
Will delegate work across the team as appropriate
Will share knowledge to ensure targets are met
Communicates (verbally and through written work) information in a clear and concise manner
Will manage stakeholders’ expectations with regards to delivery, escalating concerns as appropriate
Ability to handle issues, provide flexible options and recommendations, escalates as appropriate
Understands and applies control and risk and governance frameworks consistently
Key Requirements
Master degree in a relevant field and a professional qualification. Master’s degree in Economics, Accounting or Auditiing.
3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
Long experience can make up for education requested.
Expertise in all MS Office packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Other software packages as appropriate
Fluent in both written and spoken Norwegian and English
Will typically manage a team of individuals, supporting development of a more junior team, in particular direct reports through objective setting and delivering constructive feedback
Proactively builds a high performing, collaborative team
Understands what motivates individuals and uses this awareness to successfully drive individual and team performance
Builds and maintains relationships at all levels
Will be mindful of cultural differences across a diverse organization
